We were driving back home to Santa Cruz from Disney and looked up a place you eat that was on our way... absolutely LOVED the food here worth checking out Full of sabor and the waitress was very friendly.

I stopped by this establishment around 2:51 PM right before the lunch special ended. We ordered Vietnamese pho with chicken, kung pao tofu, orange chicken, and Szechuan chicken. The lunch special comes with soup, egg rolls and I believe cream cheese ragoons. What's interesting here is, I haven't been to an Asian restaurant that serves appetizers while we wait. It was like deep fried crackers. When the food arrived, the service was quick. They cleared up our table and set it up with delicious food. After trying everything, we couldn't believe our stomach, the special was cheap and delicious! I'm definitely going to come back here.

Ordered chicken chow fun, chicken chow mein and the potstickers. Food was delicious. Even though my husband and i swear their potstickers are Italian sausage and not chicken like stated. I took one bite and said "this tastes like a meatball" Either way, food was a 10/10

Best chinese food in SCV. Service is excellent and I really like the art on their tables. It's always pretty busy when we go, but it's understandable because their food is delicious. We've tried several different dishes here-- eggplant, lemon chicken, orange chicken, kai lan, fried rice, noodles, walnut shrimp, egg fu yong, salt and pepper calamari, egg drop soup and everything has been delicious so far. Highly recommend this place to anyone hungry for Chinese food!

With so many generic Chinese Food restaurants all over town...all over every town really, we found Mandarin Wong, albeit in a mostly non-descript atmosphere, to be among the better options in terms of the actual food! They had plenty for vegetarians including "Lemon Tofu" which we hadn't had any kind of version of since before we were vegetarians. It tasted just like we remembered, albeit with tofu instead of chicken or beef. We also had veggie egg rolls (good), and Fried Rice as an upgrade to the rice that came with the food we ordered. (It's a basic fried rice with no vegetables in it but it tasted good.) My wife was happy with her "Buddha's Feast" which came with a generous amount of tofu and vegetables, and the egg flower soup she ordered was swimming with a generous amount of eggs and tasted good too. We appreciate a place that has many vegetarian options and thought, among the vast array of Chinese Food options nearby or anywhere, Mandarin Wong is a good go-to for basic Chinese food offerings that we would happily try again.

This restaurant has been around forever, and for good reason. Pretty authentic Chinese restaurant in SCV. In a city full of chain restaurants, Mandarin Wong stands apart. This family owned restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes for reasonable prices. We ordered take out from here, and got the pan fried noodles, black bean chicken, lo mein, and orange chicken. All the dishes were delicious. My kids love orange chicken, but i didnt realize their orange chicken had chillis in it. Still tolerable, but a surprise. The restaurant itself is pretty outdated, and could definitely use a remodel. Service was fast and everyone was kind. Skip the chains, eat here instead.
